Ms. Shegerian is licensed to practice in the State of California. She is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for Central District of California. Ms. Shegerian is also a member of a number of legal memberships and affiliations, including Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, American Bar Association, Armenian Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Women and the Los Angeles and Fresno County Bar Associations.
Awards/Recognitions
Ms. Shegerian was named one of the “Most Influential Women Lawyers in Los Angeles” in 2017 and was named to he same award in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2025. In February 2017, she became one of the youngest attorneys in California to argue a case before the California Supreme Court.

Volunteer Work
- For the last several years Cortney has been an active volunteer in her community. She is a strong believer in the power of giving back and has seen firsthand the impact it makes on the world around her.
- Ms. Shegerian is an active Board Member for the Peggy Albrecht Friendly House, has served as a volunteer for the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Program at Stanley Mosk from 2017-2021 and has volunteered the Sojourn Battered Women’s Shelter in Santa Monica from 2017-2022.
- In her work with these organizations, Ms. Shegerian has seen the difference that volunteering can make an immeasurable difference in the lives of others.
